From the time that Mary was a small child she was different. She would go off into what her family thought was her own world which also included “imaginary friends”. Mary was blessed with spiritual insight and intuition. She always felt like she didn’t fit in, and by the time she went to school, she began to block out her spiritual gifts. Yet there was always great confusion caused by the empathic energies she would feel. When she got into high school and was still not able to discern what was her truth, she self-medicated as a survival tool. She continued with life, managing the best she could.
Mary’s journey has truly come full circle. Her early career was in the bakery business. She spent 20 years in the industry starting as a store girl at the age of 14 and then ending with owning her own pastry shop. After selling this pastry shop, she returned to school and became a specialized clinical technician when she was in her early thirties. While serving her externship at Deborah Heart and Lung Hospital, she would come home exhausted and struggling with a bunion and other health problems. To back track a little, Mary was diagnosed with Lyme disease in 1990. She struggled for a few years with the disease and all it had done to her body. At that time, she started to read about nutrition and healing her body, but those changes didn’t stick. She ended up overweight and out of shape once again. After being hit in the face with her shape and health as she was embarking on a career in cardiology, she started to really work on herself. At this point, she knew diets didn’t work, and it had to be lifestyle changes. Once again, she started to look at nutrition and began to do an exercise program.
Once she got started, gradually she began to feel better and look better. Her energy levels were up, and she was loving life. She thought, "How can I make this last?" Low and behold in the mail came a flyer for night school, and they were offering a class on health and fitness technology. That was it! She would truly make it a part of her life. That was only the start of Mary’s health and wellness education and life. Since then, she has completed numerous certification programs and worked with several functional medicine doctors and organizations. While running her small office for weight loss and nutrition, something happened. Mary had begun to open to her spiritual gifts again. Young girls began to make appointments with her for guidance, and they were about weight loss or nutrition. She knew then it was her guides letting her know it was time to step into her truth, her Divine being that she was intended to be.
In the early 2000’s while still owning the pastry shop, Mary was involved in a car accident. That accident took Mary to a chiropractor. It was there in that chiropractor’s office she met Lori.
Since childhood, Lori suffered from many allergic reactions to pharmaceuticals, including anaphylactic shock. She experienced many trips to the emergency room.
She married her soulmate, Scott, in 1981, and was a stay-at-home mom, until she began chiropractic billing and office management in 1993. This started her journey on alternative health, and she experienced the amazing results of regular chiropractic care. After 13 years, she decided to pursue a career in massage therapy. She became a Certified Massage Therapist in 2004 and established her practice in a chiropractic office. Due to her passion for wanting licensure in New Jersey, she became involved with the American Massage Therapy Association and served as the NJ Chapter President for 4 years. Then she obtained a position on the NJ Massage and Bodywork Licensure Board for 3 years.
After utilizing essential oils as a vital role in her healthcare, she decided to obtain her Certification in Clinal Aromatherapy in 2010 and is a member of the National Association for Holistic Aromatherapy (NAHA).
This opened her eyes to all the toxic chemicals we are exposed to every day.
On January 11, 2022, she lost the love of her life. Scott passed due to hospital protocol. This was the most difficult period of her life. Her renewed faith provided the strength she needed to move forward. She witnessed first-hand the current condition of our “sick-care” system and knew that education was vital to help others take charge of their health and wellness.
She majored in art throughout her school years, and still loves to paint and draw in her spare time. Now, she enjoys offering art classes and supports others through their grief process.
Lori loves spending time with her grandchildren, teaching them the fundamentals of aromatherapy and natural healthcare.
She and Scott always had a love for animals and have rescued many dogs and cats throughout their marriage.
She met Mary while working in a chiropractic office, and they became instant friends. Over the years, they always kept in touch, and after the passing of Lori's husband, Mary was there with her love and kindness. Mary shared her vision with Lori about an alliance of holistic practitioners and spiritual visionaries, and Meeha Alliance, LLC, was born.
Mary and Lori have been friends for the last 30 years. Their lives took very different paths, but they always felt they had a deep spiritual connection. They are "soul sisters".
Mary's YIN energy encourages introspection, nurturing, and healing. She shares her love and light with everyone she meets.
Lori's YANG energy drives action, ambition and assertiveness. She is by-the-book and analytical.
The principal of YIN and YANG shows that opposing forces are invaluable---each needs the other to coexist.
With their extensive experience and passion for life, they bring holistic health and spiritual wellness to the community through lectures, workshops and expos.
